Review by hotel critic
As a wildlife conservationist from Sydney, I often seek authentic experiences that connect me to nature and culture. During my recent stay at a heritage hotel in Jodhpur, I enjoyed a delightful blend of traditional and modern elements. The stunning Indo-Saracenic and Art Deco architecture of the hotel, crafted with Makrana marble and Burmese teak wood, created an atmosphere of regal elegance. The serene gardens, home to resident peacocks, added to the charm of the experience. The culinary offerings were impressive, particularly at the Pillars, where I savored European and Mediterranean delicacies while seated on a lovely colonnaded veranda. The highlight was the specially designed yoga session that incorporated postures, breath awareness, and energy flow. This beautiful blend of heritage and modern comfort provided a memorable cultural immersion, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking a unique getaway in India.
